Terms & Conditions

Delivery

Delivery services are exclusively available for local destinations within Singapore. Alternatively, Customers can opt to collect their orders directly from our store situated at Block 5042 Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2, #01-515, Singapore 569545.

All deliveries must be completed within 30 days or within the timeframe specified in the buyer’s purchase order delivery date. Failure to meet this deadline may result in a storage penalty imposed by AE Trade. Customers have the option to request expedited routing at an additional cost. Goods will be appropriately packed, marked, loaded, and shipped according to specified requirements. Unless otherwise instructed by the Customer, shipments will be arranged to ensure the lowest transportation rates apply. The risk of loss or damage during transit is borne by the Customer. AE Trade will only procure or ship goods upon written authorization from the Customer or to meet specific delivery dates as required.

Payment

Upon receipt of invoices, the Customer is responsible for processing payment. AE Trade will provide timely invoices for goods and services rendered. Payments must adhere to the payment terms specified in the invoices.

In cases where payment by the Customer is overdue, AE Trade reserves the right to take certain actions: (a) interest may be charged on all outstanding sums at a rate of 1.5% per month from the due date until payment is received, at AE Trade’s discretion; (b) AE Trade may suspend all deliveries until payment is received; (c) AE Trade may, at its discretion, terminate the Agreement upon providing 7 days’ notice to the Customer; and (d) AE Trade may initiate legal action to enforce payment.

Time

Any specified time or date for deliveries provided by AE Trade serves as an estimate and is subject to change. AE Trade bears no liability for any loss or damage resulting from factors beyond its control. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all deliveries are scheduled during business hours, from Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM, excluding weekends and public holidays.

Cancellation Charges:

Should the buyer decide to cancel the order after 03 days of confirmation, a cancellation charge of 30% of the total sales amount will be charged. All goods sold or delivered are final sale and non-returnable. AE Trade will consider exchanges only for items in new condition, unused, unworn, unaltered, and free of damage, within 07 days from the receipt of the original order.

Site Access:

Customers are responsible for providing access to the work sites during delivery. By opting for our delivery services, customers authorise us to use the necessary facilities for the delivery process.

Price Increase

AE Trade retains the right to notify the Customer in writing, at any time prior to delivery, of any price adjustments for products. This adjustment reflects any increase in costs incurred by AE Trade due to factors beyond its control, including but not limited to foreign exchange fluctuations for imported materials, currency regulations, changes in duties, labour costs, material expenses, or alterations to delivery dates necessitated by Customer instructions.

Set-Off

The Customer is not authorised to withhold or offset any payable amount to AE Trade under the Agreement, regardless of any claims made by the Customer regarding defects, alleged breaches of the Agreement, or any other reasons.

Damages

Any claim for damages for alleged defects or alleged breach of the Agreement by AE Trade shall be dealt with separately and independently after a joint inspection by both parties. These claims must be supported by a qualified surveyor’s report submitted by the Customer. Any disputes arising from such claims will be settled through arbitration proceedings.

Materials

Until full payment is received, all equipment and materials delivered to the site or installed shall remain the exclusive property of AE Trade. The Customer hereby grants AE Trade irrevocable authority to enter the Customer’s premises to reclaim any equipment and materials delivered or installed if full payment has not been made to AE Trade.

Liability

AE Trade bears no responsibility for damages to real property or loss or damage to any goods, unless caused by the negligence or deliberate actions of AE Trade, its employees, or authorised agents. Liability of AE Trade for defects is restricted solely to the replacement of defective parts or equipment and does not extend to cover any consequential loss or loss of business.

Force Majeure

AE Trade shall not be held accountable or considered in violation of the Agreement for any delay or failure to fulfil its obligations herein if such delay is attributable to force majeure. For the purposes of this provision, force majeure encompasses circumstances beyond the control of AE Trade, including but not limited to: (a) Acts of God, perils of the sea or air, riots, civil commotion, war, rebellion, national or international emergencies, strikes, lockouts, work stoppages, overtime bans, or other labour disputes; (b) disputes, destruction, or damage resulting from natural causes such as floods, fires, explosions, breakdowns of machinery, sabotage, or embargoes; and (c) any directives issued by local, national, or international authorities.

Warranty

Claims or complaints will only be considered valid if they are submitted in writing before the Warranty Period expires. The scope and duration of the warranty are contingent upon the terms outlined in the Manufacturer’s Warranty for the relevant equipment. Warranty services will be conducted locally during AE Trade’s office hours to repair or replace items found to be defective due to manufacturing faults. Additional charges will apply for support provided after office hours, on weekends, or during public holidays. It’s important to note that freight and transportation costs are not covered under the warranty.

Defects

AE Trade assumes no liability for defects or damages resulting from accidents, negligence, actions by individuals other than AE Trade’s agents or employees, misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear, unforeseeable events, or adverse weather conditions. Additionally, AE Trade shall not be held responsible for the breakdown of any equipment supplied by AE Trade due to its use with other equipment or accessories provided by third parties.

Legal Costs

The Customer shall assume responsibility for all legal costs and expenses incurred by AE Trade on a full indemnity solicitor and client basis. This includes costs arising from any demands, claims, or legal actions initiated by AE Trade to enforce this Agreement against the Customer.

Notices

All notices pertaining to this Agreement must be in written form. Notice to the Customer will be considered adequately served if left at or sent via registered post to the Customer’s last known address in Singapore. Similarly, notice to AE Trade will be deemed sufficiently served if sent via registered post to the address provided on AE Trade’s letterhead or indicated overleaf.

Applicability

All transactions with AE Trade are governed by these terms and conditions, which supersede and hold precedence over any other terms and conditions, including those of the Customer’s standard trading terms. Acceptance of these terms & conditions is deemed upon issue of Purchase Order by Customer or acceptance of AE Trade’s quotation by customer.

Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore and parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Singapore.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) applies to the collection, use and disclosure of an individual customer’s Personal Data (hereinafter defined) arising from goods and/or services offered by AE Trade.

What information do we collect?

How do we protect your information?

  1. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.
  2. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorised with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
  3. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Do we use cookies?

This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Personal Data

  1. In this Data Protection Policy, “Personal Data” refers to any data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access, including data in our records as may be updated from time to time.
  2. Examples of such Personal Data you may provide to us include (depending on the nature of your interaction with us) your name, NRIC, passport or other identification number, telephone number(s), mailing address, email address, medical information, family background (with details of spouse and children), employment history, education background, income, photographs of individual, CCTV footage images of individuals and any other information relating to any individuals which you have provided us in any forms you may have submitted to us, or via other forms of interaction with you.

      managing the administrative and business operations of AE Trade and complying with internal policies and procedures;

In relation to particular Products and Services or in your interactions with us, we may also have specifically notified you of other purposes for which we collect, use or disclose your Personal Data. AE Trade will take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Data against unauthorised disclosure. Subject to the provisions of any applicable law, your Personal Data may be disclosed (where applicable), to the following:

  • AE Trade’s employees to provide content, Products and Services to you, address your questions and requests;
  • our professional advisers such as auditors, consultants and lawyers
  • external banks, credit card companies and their respective service providers
  • Contractors or third party service provider who provide delivery services
  • relevant government regulators, statutory boards or authorities or law enforcement agencies to comply with any laws, rules, guidelines and regulations or schemes imposed by any governmental authority; and
  • any other party to whom you authorise us to disclose your Personal Data to.

Use of Cookies

  1. A cookie is a small piece of information that is placed on your computer when you visit certain websites. The cookies placed by the servers hosting our websites are readable only by us, and cookies cannot access, read or modify any other data on an electric device, nor does it capture any data which allows us to identify you individually. All web-browsers offer the option to refuse any cookie, and if you refuse our cookie then we do not gather any information on that visitor.

AE Trade will take reasonable efforts to protect Personal Data in our possession or our control by making reasonable security arrangements to prevent unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. However, we cannot completely guarantee the security of any Personal Data we may have collected from or about you, or that for example no harmful code will enter our websites (for example viruses, bugs, trojan horses, spyware or adware). You should be aware of the risks associated with using websites.
  2. While we strive to protect your Personal Data, we cannot ensure the security of the information you transmit to us via the Internet or when you use our online portals, and we urge you to take every precaution to protect your Personal Data when you are on the Internet. If applicable, you undertake to keep your username and password secure and confidential and shall not disclose or permit it to be disclosed to any unauthorised person, and to inform us as soon as reasonably practicable if you know or suspect that someone else knows your username and password or believe the confidentiality of your username and password has been lost, stolen or compromised in any way or that actual or possible unauthorised transactions have taken place. We are not liable for any damages resulting from any security breaches, on unauthorised and/or fraudulent use of your username and password.

If you withdraw your consent to any or all use of your Personal Data, depending on the nature of your request, AE Trade may not be in a position to continue to provide its Products and Services to you, administer any contractual relationship in place, which in turn may also result in the termination of any agreements with AE Trade, and your being in breach of your contractual obligations or undertakings. AE Trade’s legal rights and remedies in such an event are expressly reserved.
